God can do with a little help at times

From: Wikinews, http://www.wikinews.org

The pilot and co-pilot of Tuninter Flight 1153, which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea in 2005, killing sixteen people, have each received ten-year jail sentences for the ditching of the flight. They were found to have prayed instead of trying to direct the plane to safety when the engines failed.

Er… praying is a good thing, but the pilots should have helped The Almighty by grabbing the controls and attempting to steer the damn thing. As the old Arab adage counsels: “Trust God, but tie the camel’s leg.”
